Ammannia Sulawesi is a unique aquarium stem plant the originates from Indonesia and is still relatively difficult to obtain in the aquarium hobby. When grown in optimal conditions, Ammannia Sulawesi displays a beautiful color palette that includes orange, green and pink tones. With its vertical growth pattern, Ammannia Sulawesi looks best when planted densely amongst other stem plants in the midground to the background area of the aquarium. It isn't particularly difficult to keep and grow, but we do recommend this plant to those who have solid experience in keeping more finicky aquarium stems.
As a baseline, we recommend using this aquarium plant in planted tanks that are mature and balanced as newly cycled tanks may not provide ideal conditions for healthy growth. Along with an established aquarium, we also recommend using this aquarium stem in a tank that has CO2 injection, moderate to high lighting and a quality nutrient dosing routine. This along with good aquarium maintenance habits are preferable and increase chances for success. Like most aquarium stem plants, once Ammannia Sulawesi is established, regular pruning will be necessary to maintain the desired look.
