The Amflow PR Carbon is a full-power electric mountain bike built around a lightweight full-carbon frame and Amflow's own Avinox M2 drive system. At £3,999 it represents the entry point to the PR Carbon range, but that shouldn't suggest it's a compromise — this is a genuinely capable trail and enduro-oriented e-MTB with a thoughtful, well-rounded component spec.
The Avinox M2 motor delivers up to 125N·m of peak torque and works seamlessly with the SRAM S1000 Eagle Transmission electronic drivetrain via Amflow's SmoothShift function, which allows you to change gear while coasting — handy when you're managing technical sections or trying to maintain cadence on variable gradient. An 800Wh removable battery sits within the frame and can be charged in situ or pulled out entirely for swapping, which makes longer days in the hills considerably more manageable. It ships with a 168W charger as standard.
Suspension is handled by a FOX AWL HD Sport fork up front — running 160mm of travel with a RAIL 2.0 damper and Sweep/LSR adjustment — paired with a FOX Float Rhythm rear shock. Both are custom-tuned to the PR Carbon's kinematics to find the right balance between sensitivity and support. The mullet wheel setup (29-inch front, 27.5-inch rear) keeps rollover confidence high on rougher ground while maintaining the agility you want through tighter, more technical sections. Tyres are a Maxxis Assegai 29×2.50 (3C MaxxGrip, EXO+, TR) on the front and a Maxxis DHR II 27.5×2.50 (MaxxTerra, DD, TR) on the rear — a proven gravity-focused combination that covers most trail conditions well.
Braking is handled by Tektro TKD173 four-piston hydraulic disc brakes with 203mm rotors, developed in collaboration with Amflow. The drivetrain runs a 38T chainring and SRAM XS-1270 10-52T cassette, operated via SRAM AXS Pod Controllers. The Avinox 2-inch OLED Control Display handles ride data, motor modes and features offline navigation (GPX/FIT/TCX route import), Apple Find My location tracking, and Bluetooth connectivity. The system also supports Auto mode, which adjusts motor output in real time based on riding conditions, and Boost mode for maximum torque on the steepest climbs.
One of the PR Carbon's most distinctive features is its adjustable geometry system. Head tube angle (five positions spanning ±1°), bottom bracket height (two positions — 349 or 353mm) and chainstay length (440–452mm) can all be independently adjusted, giving up to 40 theoretical geometry configurations. Whether you're chasing grip and stability on a big descent or looking for a more efficient, agile setup on mellower terrain, there's room to dial it in.
